SENIOR PORTRAITS ARE DUE RIGHT BEFORE WINTER BREAK.
Class of 2024: tHURSDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2023
Please make a portrait plan now, if you have not already. There are studios out there. OR Bypass the money worries, and go have a photo shoot with a friend and a smart phone.
Every year senior pictures are due to the yearbook staff before Christmas vacation.
If there is a problem with this timing then you must contact the yearbook advisor. The yearbook staff cannot proceed with this rather lengthy section of the book until they have an accurate and final count of the number of senior portraits.
****We do not return cd's or printed senior portraits.
****We do not use your school i.d. photo in the senior section unless you tell us to do so. We can only do this if you have a current i.d. photo in the system.
p.s. The photos below are Darby staff members. They all represent appropriate senior portraits.

WAYS TO SUBMIT YOUR PORTRAIT.
1. Yes, you may email senior pictures as attachments to Ms. Stewart's school email! [email protected] (School email rejects more than 10mb) If you do not receive a confirmation email from me, then your picture did not make it through email.
Digital is our preferred medium. Please do not compress or crop files; simply attach them to the email. JPG or JPEG files are best. Please do not embed your photos into Word documents or PDF's.
Please include your name as you would like it to appear with your portrait. This could be the subject line of the email because I don't know who you are. I will send a confirmation email once I have seen and saved your picture.
2. Senior portraits may also be submitted digitally on cd's, please label all with your name as you would like it to appear with your portrait. Students may also stop by room 240 with flash drives or to airdrop a photo to Ms. Stewart.
3. Print photos should be submitted in an envelope. Clearly label on the envelope your full name as you would like it to appear in the yearbook.
We will NOT use your school i.d. photo in the senior portrait section unless you tell us to do so. We can only do this if you have a current i.d. photo in the system.
Graduating seniors who do not submit a senior portrait or do not ask us to use their school i.d. photos, will appear in the "Not Pictured" section. ***Also we do NOT remove submitted portraits if the senior fails to graduate for some reason.
4. Please check with your studio to see if they will be delivering your photo. Otherwise you are responsible for it. If your studio is delivering, please do not submit additional photos; it only leads to confusion and mistakes.
Seniors are responsible for making sure that their names are spelled correctly and that their studios have delivered their pictures. Please check the senior namelists that will be posted around school and on social media during December and January. Some studios wait, and deliver all their Darby portraits on one cd.

Tips & advice
The best advice we can give is: DON'T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE TO GET YOUR PICTURE TAKEN!!!!
The studio process can take weeks to complete and get you the pictures you need. Also you are in competition for appointments with every high school senior in Central Ohio.
This does NOT have to be a financial burden. The predominance of iphones and digital cameras can potentially make any friend your photographer. However "friend photographers" also have time commitments. Plan early!
We are a publication and must meet our own deadlines which is why we need your photo in a timely manner.
